Postdoctoral Fellowship in Macromolecular NMR and Structural Biology

A postdoctoral fellowship is available immediately in the Protein NMR Section of the Laboratory of Chemical Physics to join a group involved in determining three-dimensional solution structures of larger macromolecular complexes by multidimensional NMR spectroscopy. Particular emphasis is currently being placed on protein-protein complexes involved in signal transduction, on binary and ternary protein-nucleic acid complexes involved in transcription, and on structural problems related to AIDS. (For further details of projects in the lab see http://spin.niddk.nih.gov/clore).

Prospective candidates should have obtained their PhD and/or MD less than five years ago, and have demonstrated experience in multidimensional NMR, as well as in modern methods of protein expression and purification.

The laboratory of Chemical Physics in NIDDK provides state-of-the-art research facilities in NMR spectroscopy and structural biology (including several 500, 600 and 800 MHz spectrometers), in a highly collegial environment involving a number of NMR, X-ray, biophysics and molecular biology groups.

Applicants should send a letter stating their interests, a curriculum vitae including bibliography, and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent directly to:

Dr. G. Marius Clore, MD, PhD
Chief Protein NMR Section, Laboratory of Chemical Physics, Building 5, Room
B1-30I, NIDDK, National Institutes of Health,
10 Center Dr. MSC 0520, Bethesda, MD 20892-0520.
