Identifying new central pair proteins by proteomic approach

New central pair (CP) proteins were identified by comparing the mass spectrometry results of flagella with and without intact CP complexes. These proteins were further mapped into specific regions of the CP complex based on the mass spectrometry patterns of several mutant strains.
