Special Issue: IUPAB2024 Congress in Kyoto

From June 24 to 28, 2024, the joint congress of 21st IUPAB (International Union of Pure and Applied Biophysics) and 62nd BSJ (Biophysics Society of Japan) was held at Kyoto International Conference Center with the theme, "Rocking out Biophysics!". The Special Issue of Biophysics and Physicobiology for this IUPAB2024 congress in Kyoto contains a concise report of the congress together with the abstracts of almost all the oral and poster presentations, a report of the Round-table discussion held just before the IUPAB2024 congress for discussing future of biophysics, and several reports for the six Hands-on training programs. The cover image depicts the opening ceremony, during which Prof. Hiroyuki Noji, the conference chair, delivered the opening address on June 24, 2024.
