SATORI: Amplification-free digital RNA detection method for the diagnosis of viral infections

(Tatsuya Iida, Hajime Shinoda, Rikiya Watanabe, Biophysics and Physicobiology 20, e200031 (2023), DOI: 10.2142/biophysico.bppb-v20.0031)

SATORI, a new class of digital bioanalysis, represents a next-generation genetic testing method capable of detecting single molecules of genetic material at the world's fastest speed. Recently, practical platforms for SATORI, including an automated platform (opn-SATORI) and a low-cost compact fluorescence imaging system (COWFISH), have been developed with high expectations for clinical applications as point-of-care testing to prepare for future viral pandemics.
