Waiver of early bird registration fee for IUPAB2024 for student members affiliated with research institutes affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake (Application deadline: April 15th 2024)

2024 January 25 For MEMBER

The Biophysical Society of Japan has decided to waive the pre-registration fee for IUPAB2024 for its student members affiliated with research institutions affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
Those eligible for exemption are limited to student members of this society, regardless of whether they are presenters at IUPAB2024 or not. Student members who wish to be exempted from the registration fee must complete the following procedures by 15 April 2024. i) Complete the early bird registration for IUPAB2024. At that time, please select the option 'Pay later' instead for paying the registration fee. ii) Download "2024 Support Application Form" from the society website, fill the form, and send it to the society secretariat. The deadline for the application is April 15th 2024.
The target research institutions in the disaster area are those in Ishikawa, Toyama, and Niigata prefectures that suffered damage from the earthquake and tsunami. Please note that this exemption does not apply to the on-site registration. Those who wish to apply for this support should not apply for "the support for student members presenting at IUPAB 2024". If a person who has already paid the registration fee applies for this registration fee waiver, the registration fee will be refunded.
