OPTIONAL TOURS |
|
OP- 1: Beach Resort
Date: November 16 (Thurs) 13:00 from OCC - 17 (Fri) around 16:00 at Naha Airport
Fare: JPY42,500 per person (1 dinner, 1 breakfast, 1 lunch included) in a twin room
Day 1:
Churaumi Acquarium: Please refer to OP-3
Proceed to the hotel en route visiting Nago Pineapple Park.
Overnight at Okinawa Marriott Resort
Day 2:
Drive southward along the beautiful coast.
Ryukyu-mura Village: It is a garden reproducing the old Okinawan lifestyle. It is a collection of typical wooden homes with red-tiled roofs from Okinawa, Miyako Island and Kume Island reconstructed in their original form with yards surrounded by coral stone walls, all bringing back the atmosphere of yesteryear. A native breed of chicken also struts about scratching for food.
Southeast Botanical Garden: Japan's largest tropical gardens, this garden displays over 2,000 varieties of plant species gathered up from all over the world. The gardens are 100 acres in size -- or over eight times the size of the Tokyo Dome -- and are always in blossom. The gardens boast a Polynesian lake filled with thousands of carp and also have an Insect Specimen Gallery that holds numerous varieties of butterflies and beetles. The gardens are also proud of their collection of 450 different varieties of palm trees. Turtles, lizards and birds also share this outdoor sanctuary, which is touted as the "Garden of Eden in Okinawa."
OP-2: Island Tour - Ishigaki Island and Taketomi Island
Date: November 16 (Thurs) 13:00 from OCC - 17 (Fri) around 16:00 at Naha Airport
Fare: JPY59,000 per person (1 dinner, 1 breakfast, 1 lunch included) in a twin room
Day 1:
Transfer to Naha Airport and fly to Ishigaki Airport.
Yaeyama Minzokuen: This is a folklore village reflecting good old Yaeyama, its nature and its people. Yaeyama means ‘eight mountains’, a description that, rightly, suggests the presence of large and highly visible rock deposits. Ishigaki, a name meaning "stone wall," is the main island of the Yaeyama Archipelago and its administrative centre. Its airport and harbour serve the outlying islands in the group. Ishigaki offers visitors more creature comforts than are found on the other islands and a larger number of conventional sights, but also makes an excellent base from which to explore islands whose names and locations are unfamiliar even to many Japanese people. It is here that the real Okinawa and the melange of influences that have given the islands their own distinctive character can be found.
Overnight at ANA Hotel & Resort Ishigaki
Day 2:
Take a ride in a high-speed boat to Taketomi island. Sightseeing in this small island taking a ride on a glass-boat.
Return to Ishigaki Island by high-speed boat.
Ishigaki Island Stalactite Cave: It is the southernmost cave in Japan open to the public.
Minsah Kogeikan: The people of the Yaeyama Islands have long cherished their ancient distinctive culture, and Minsah weaving is an important part of that culture. To the Yaeyamans, these fabrics are not only the shield to the body but also the soul.
Fly to Naha Airport where the tour disbands around 16:00. |
