【Significance】
Chemical data curation

Several chemical structure databases currently exist. The purpose of each is guided by the research needs of the database developer. The 3DMET database has been created to be a resource of manually curated 3D-structures of natural products. In this work we describe our experiences of the manual curation process which may be useful to curators of other chemical databases or developers of supporting systems.
