内容・概要:
　シリア-中心体系は様々な生化学シグナルや力学的シグナルの発生・伝達・応答に重
　要な役割を果たします。とりわけ、一次シリアは驚くほど多様な生理作用に関与し、
　その破綻は多彩な疾患・症状に結びつく事が爆発的なスピードで明らかにされつつ
　あります。これまで、中心体は細胞分裂における役割から研究され、一方シリアは
　運動性やシグナル受容という働きに注目されて来ました。本会議の目的は、中心体と
　シリアという密接に関連する2つの細胞内小器官を、ダイナミックに変化する1つの
　細胞内小器官と捉え、その構造・形成機構・機能についての情報交換を行うことの
　できる場を提供することです。これまでシリア-中心体に関する研究をリードして
　来た海外・国内の研究者を交えて、活発な議論が行われることを期待します。
　本会議では、一般参加者によるポスター発表を募り、優秀な演題には口頭発表を
　お願いする予定です。使用言語は英語です。同時通訳はございませんので予めご了承
　ください。国内外からの多数のご参加をお待ちいたしております。

The 25th CDB Meeting “Cilia and Centrosomes: from Fertilization to Cancer”
Call for Application and Abstract Submission!

We are pleased to announce that the 25th CDB Meeting will be held as follows:

Title: The 25th CDB Meeting “Cilia and Centrosomes: from Fertilization to Cancer”
Date: June 17 (Mon.) – 18 (Tue.), 2013
Venue: RIKEN Center for Developmental Biology, Kobe, Japan
Application and Abstract submission deadline: 12:00 pm. Friday, April 19, 2013 (Japan time)
Participation fee: 3,000 JPY
Banquet fee (Optional): 3,000 JPY

For this meeting, we are expecting to have participants associated with modern DNA sequencing including informatic data analysts as well as biologists with strong laboratory experimental background. We expect that the wide spectrum of participants will enhance technical and biological exchanges between different levels – design of lab experiments, infrastructural management in data production, informatic analyses, and biological interpretation. Overall, this meeting is focused to bring about insights into tackling future challenges in understanding animal genome regulation and evolution.
The meeting is scheduled for 2 days, and the program will include both oral and poster sessions. A small number of poster abstracts will be selected by the organizing committee for oral presentations. We would be delighted to have your participation at the 25th CDB Meeting.
