今年は、「古の都・奈良にて、生物物理の現在と未来を繋ぐ」をキャッチフレーズに、第63回日本生物物理学会年会を、奈良にて開催いたします。来週金曜日4月18日より演題登録が開始となるにあたって、事前予告をさせていただきます。

会期：2025年9月24日（水）〜9月26日（金）

※若手奨励賞、学生発表賞の応募締切は、選考日程の都合上5月16日（金）より一切延長いたしませんので、ご注意ください。

今年も会員の皆様からシンポジウムに多数のご応募をいただき、感謝申し上げます。生物物理の様々な分野から、広く充実した内容のシンポジウムを４５件開催予定です（イブニングセッション含む）。シンポジウムのタイトルやオーガナイザーの情報を年会HP（https://www2.aeplan.co.jp/bsj2025/about/program_symposium.html）で公開しましたので、是非ご覧ください。

学生発表賞に応募した演題（応募が多い場合には、予備選考を通過した演題）は、年会初日午後の一般口頭発表枠にて口頭で発表していただくことになります。学生会員の皆様は、積極的に学生発表賞にご応募いただき、英語による口頭発表で熱い議論を交わしましょう！　なお、一般発表は昨年と同様、原則ポスターで行います。

最後に、演題登録を開始するにおいて、昨年からの変更点についてお知らせします。発表分類を一昨年度版からアップデートしました。会員の皆様の要望を受け、理事会・実行委員会で議論を重ねて、より広く皆様の研究が該当するように更新しました。ぜひ演題登録前に下記サイトをご確認いただき、ご自身の研究にフィットするカテゴリにて演題登録を進めていただければと存じます。

Dear Members,

The 63rd Annual Meeting of the Biophysical Society of Japan will be held in Nara, Japan, this year under the theme “Connecting the Present and Future of Biophysics in the Ancient Capital of Nara”. We would like to give you an advance notice that abstract submission will start next Friday, April 18.

Please note: the application deadline for the Early Career Award and the Student Presentation Award will NOT be extended beyond Friday, May 16 due to the selection schedule.

We sincerely thank all members for submitting a large number of symposium proposals again this year. A total of 45 symposia, including evening sessions, are scheduled, covering a wide range of topics across the field of biophysics. The titles and organizers of the symposia are now available on the meeting website:

The abstracts submitted for the Student Presentation Award (or those that pass the preliminary screening if there are too many applications) will be invited to give an oral presentation in the general oral presentation slot in the afternoon of the first day of the Annual Meeting. Student members are encouraged to apply for the Student Presentation Award, and to engage in heated discussions through oral presentations in English!　As in the previous year, general presentations will be made by posters, in general.

Finally, we would like to inform you of changes made since last year in preparation for the start of abstract submission. The classification of presentation topics has been updated from the version used two years ago. Based on member feedback and thorough discussions by the board and organizing committee, the categories have been revised to better reflect the diversity of research in the field. Please check the updated categories at the following site before submitting your abstract, and select the one that best fits your research:

Abstract submission begins next week, and we look forward to your active participation. The organizing committee is working hard to prepare an engaging platform in Nara where we can connect the present and future of biophysics through vibrant discussions.
