11/8（土）開催「中四国若手クライオ電顕ワークショップ」のお知らせ（10/14（火）〆切） / 11/8 (Sat) “Chugoku-Shikoku Young Cryo-EM Workshop” (apply deadline 10/14 (Tue))

お世話になっております。生物物理若手の会 中国四国支部・支部長の山田哲平と申します。
この度、11/8（土）の午後に、岡山大学で「中四国若手クライオ電顕ワークショップ」を開催することとなりました。

本ワークショップでは、岡山大学・異分野基礎科学研究所の沼本 修孝 先生と徳島大学・先端酵素学研究所の福田 義之 先生によるご講演や、岡山大学に最近導入されたCryo-TEM, Cryo-FIB-SEMの見学会、ワークショップ後の交流会を企画しております。

講演会・見学会のみのご参加は無料ですので、クライオ電顕を学びたい方、岡山大学のCryo-TEM, Cryo-FIB-SEMの利用に興味がある方だけでなく、構造解析を基礎から学びたい方、これを機に若手の会 中国四国支部のメンバーと交流したい方も、ぜひご参加ください。

本ワークショップは生物物理学会の所属の有無に関わらずご参加いただけますので、お近くにクライオ電顕、構造解析にご興味がある方の心当たりがある場合は、お声がけをお願いいたします。

Dear Members of the Biophysical Society of Japan,

This is Teppei YAMADA, the Chugoku-Shikoku branch chief of the Society of Young Scientists in Biophysics.
We warmly invite you to attend the “Chu-Shikoku Young Researchers’ Cryo-EM Workshop” on Saturday, November 8th at Okayama University.
We have invited two leading cryoEM researchers in the Chugoku-Shikoku region, Dr. Nobutaka NUMOTO from the Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Science, Okayama University and Dr. Yoshiyuki FUKUDA from Institute of Advanced Medical Sciences, Tokushima University.
We have also prepared programs for tours of the Cryo-TEM and Cryo-FIB-SEM installed at Okayama University, as well as a social gathering after the workshop.

As this symposium is free to attend, except for the social gathering and is designed for beginners of structural biology, it is a good opportunity to learn Cryo-EM from the basic principles and to communicate with young researchers in the Chugoku-Shikoku area.
We welcome non-members of the Biophysical Society of Japan and would appreciate it if you would share this information with your colleagues.
