Announcement for the International Workshop on Bacterial Flagella and BioMachinery

Research study on the functions, structures, and morphogenesis of bacterial flagella, an organelle for bacterial motility, in Japan has a long history in Japan and has led the worldwide studies in this field. Since 1994, the “Japanese Flagella Meeting” has been held annually to bridge Japanese flagella researchers and promote communications and discussion. This time, the meeting will be expanded to include participants worldwide, convening in Taiwan for deeper discussions. The scope of the meeting will extend beyond bacterial flagella to include related biological machinery, covering the latest research on their structures, functions, and evolution. We will invite leading researchers from seven countries, including Japan and Taiwan. Through invited lectures, oral presentations, and poster sessions, we will create a forum where experts and emerging researchers can gather and exchange ideas. This international conference will be held according to the following outline. Information will be updated as needed on the website, so please refer to it as well.

Date: March 16th (from evening) to March 19th (until noon)
Venue: South Garden Hotels and Resorts, Taoyuan, Taiwan
(about 1 hour from the Taoyuan International Airport by public transportation)
(oversea participants will stay in the hotel at the venue)
